Hyundai Accent - The new 2006 Hyundai Accent looks like it will give ‘em everything they want – and maybe a bit more. Redesigned from the ground up, the Accent combines traditional Hyundai strengths of value and warranty coverage with top-shelf safety equipment, an improved design and more room on the inside.
Hyundai Veracruz – There’s one common element that ties the U.S. car market to the Indian caste system: Each strictly limits the social confines within which its “citizens†may exist. Toyota, Nissan and Honda realized this, and therefore created luxury brands to sell luxury products, a point Volkswagen would’ve been well served to heed with its Phaeton. Ignoring that lesson, Hyundai is stepping deeper into the premium pond with the all-new 2007 Veracruz crossover, upping the ante with top-notch materials, a hospitable cabin, and a well-equipped price that screams entry-luxury. Time will tell if shoppers are ready for a near-$40,000 Hyundai, or if the Veracruz is destined to sleep with the fishes, or Phaetons, as the case may be.
Hyundai Entourage – They say no one wants to buy minivans anymore. The reasons run to the typical: not sexy enough, not enough status in it for mommy or daddy. Yet minivans like the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna sell briskly, often with waiting lists and salespeople click-clacking over MSRP deals. Perhaps, then, it’s really that a minivan has to be darn good to make it, thanks to picky shoppers and clever automakers who innovate and keep family needs front and center.
Among upwardly mobile young professionals, those who work long and hard hours in an effort to fight for their rung on the ladder, there are few items that better demonstrate their success than a new ride. In keeping with their newly adopted corporate culture, said vehicle must be an upscale, quality machine that would look appropriate in that coveted management parking spot. Being a hoot to drive and marked by conspicuously attractive styling are just added benefits. (more…)
Replace the concept car goodies such as hidden door handles, glass-paneled roof, and pint-size cameras that serve as exterior mirrors, and what you see in this photo is the 2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe. This isn’t the actual production car.
Sometimes the subtlest changes have the most impact – arriving to work fifteen minutes earlier may make you more productive, impressing your boss and resulting in a promotion; wearing green rather than blue could catch the attention of your single neighbor, leading to a house full of kids and, eventually, a 75th wedding anniversary; or, in automotive terms, adding some extra chrome and a boatload of standard features could get a few more shoppers to consider your product. Infiniti Q45 - Infiniti understands the recipe for big luxury sedan success in the U.S. – rear-wheel drive and a V8 engine. True, there has to be plenty of luxury and technology heaped on top, and it’s gotta wear the right badge to satisfy the image-conscious, but under it all has got to be at least eight cylinders capable of spinning the rear tires. Scottsdale, Ariz. - Back in school, teachers used to say that trying was better than doing nothing, even if your effort was wrong, incomplete, or flat-out off the mark. And for multiple choice exams, the common advice was to make sure to drop some of that Number 2 lead for every question, because good ol’ luck was always a possibility. (more…)
Hyundai Azera – Driving Impressions: Hyundai nudged Toyota to rank third behind Porsche and Lexus in a recent initial quality study performed by J.D. Power and Associates. Many industry insiders were surprised by this news, and the majority of consumers were stunned. After all, Hyundai has been synonymous with cheap wheels since the Excel debuted in 1986 only to begin malfunctioning and rusting before Ronald Reagan left the Oval Office. (more…)
