The uprated Maybach 57 S is designed to appeal to owners who drive themselves, and boasts a huge 612bhp - 62bhp more than standard. A hand-built AMG 6.0-litre V12 engine provides the extra power thanks to a twin-turbo set-up. A maximum 1,000Nm of torque ensures the massive 2,735kg limo can sprint from 0-60mph in only five seconds. Monster Maybach Exels on roadgoing debut - My oh my oh Maybach… As if the German firm hadn’t made a special enough car as it is, these fabulous shots show there is likely to be more to come. Our images prove the Maybach Exelero has now hit the road. It was spied in Dusseldorf on a photoshoot ahead of the recent Essen Motor Show in Germany, and witnesses said the wild looks were matched by a fearsome sound from its 700bhp 5.9-litre V12. (more…)

Now it’s the MayJack! - Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson is living up to his top billing after treating himself to a new motor. The star has bought a Maybach 57S from the German firm’s Centre of Excellence in Stuttgart. Not content with the standard model, though, the Snakes on a Plane star also ordered a refrigerator, champagne glasses and folding tables. The £293,000 limo will be kept at his California home. Maybach Revives Past Memories - Rolls-Royce isn’t the only company recalling former glories. German luxury marque Maybach is joining forces with tyre firm Fulda to recreate a legendary vehicle from the past. Maybach 62 S - The 2007 62 S is a 4-door, up to 5-passenger luxury sedan, available in one trim only, the Sedan. Upon introduction, the 62 S is equipped with a standard 6.0-liter, V12, 604-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 11-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2007 62 S is all-new for 2007.
