What’s all the talk about Automotive Auctions?

Posted on January 13th, 2010 by admin

There are literally thousands of cars that the government and police confiscate each year. Most of these cars end up for sale in public auctions and get listed by online automotive auctions. Buying your next car at an automotive auction is a great way to save potentially thousands of dollars.

Because of these auctions, individuals who may not be able to afford a car have a fighting chance of owning one. The auctions have provided these people the small window of opportunity since many of the cars sold at automotive auctions are sold for as little as 10-20% of their true market value.

But one must always remember that at seized automotive auctions, it is basically every man for himself. It is therefore important to arm yourself with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify a good deal when you see one and to avoid those cars that have not been well maintained.

As a winning bidder in a automotive auction, or in any kind of auction for that matter, you should remember that you may be required to pay a buyer’s premium…

2009 Toyota Corolla Analysis

Posted on December 28th, 2009 by admin

2009 Corolla is a new releasing from Toyota based on a previous successful model Camry. The new Corolla look is very appreciated especially by teenagers probably thanks to its high quality sports design. This is why I decided to test this new good looking sedan inside and out and share the results with interested consumers.

With a more compact and also smaller outside look the new Corolla has an important advantage over its predecessor Camry. The overall aspect, the lightening and panels same like the paint are designed in the best Toyota high quality sport style. The outside overall look is a lot better improved comparing to the conventional previous generation

Even if was not design for consumers the model I drove was equipped with all the power features and there were just a few items missing. The seating are very soft but also rigid enough to make the long trips as pleasant as possible. The interior is large enough for over sized friends and there is a great head room. I don’t have any obvious complains to make, as long as…

Understanding Pnuematic or Cordless Automotive Repair tools

Posted on November 20th, 2009 by admin

The age of digital technology has allowed us to truly make our lives easier in several different areas. When it comes to automotive tools, this can not only make driving and tightening nails or screws simple, it can also feel as though it’s effortless. Unfortunately, you can’t just run to the store and purchase any type of tools and have the same results. There are hundreds of different brands, but the ones you decide are best for you are the most important. It all depends on the project and whether you need air tools, pneumatic tools, or even cordless tools.

However, it’s recommended that you take on pneumatic or air tools if you need to worry about affordability. Keep in mind that cheaper doesn’t mean worse, and these variations are extremely efficient when it comes to any job where they are required. The difference is they get their automotive features from taking advantage of pressurized gas to put mechanical parts in motion.

What it comes down to is the air compressor is its main source of energy. Granted, you’ll need the appropriate…

Automotive Seat Covers And Your Vehicle

Posted on November 18th, 2009 by admin

One of the great on-the-road ironies is that while you are sitting nicely in your car seat, the seat itself is having to stand up to an incredible tremendous amount of abuse. Dirty garments, wet swimsuits, spilt drinks, children snacking in the backseat, slobbering pets, seat friction and harsh daylight all have the potentiality to ruin and wear out your great looking seats. And if something terrible has befallen your interior, a complete reupholster will cost dearly. This is where automotive seat covers come in.

The days of worrying about permanently marking your auto seats or of being humiliated by ripped, tattered and rough upholstery are close to being over. With the right set of automotive seat covers, you are going to be able to proactively protect your upholstery from a dizzying array of dangers, cover over existing damage rather than having to reupholster your seats and make over your interior to suit your tastes and lifestyle .

No one plans on fumbling a 40 ounce drink right into their lap while barreling down the freeway, but it occurs. As drinks keep…

Posted on November 13th, 2009 by admin

When you have had the unfortunate event of being in a automotive collision, the last thing you need is to have a bad experience with an auto body shop not doing their job. A good auto body shop will fix your car back to pre-loss condition, both in appearance and in structural and mechanical integrity. A great auto body shop will almost make you feel like the accident never happened. They should start with customer service better then you get at a good restaurant.

They should ask if everyone was OK after the accident, generally, they should be more interested in your needs and concerns then their own profit margins. The sad thing is there are many body shops that are just in it for a quick buck and do not have the customer skills or even the repair skills to do the job you, or your insurance company, is paying for. So how do you weed those shops out?

Following are certain steps that you should follow if you are unsatisfied with the repair job done by the auto body shop:
